Service-Learning (S-L) is an experiential educational approach where students participate in and reflect on an organised service activity in which they apply their skills and knowledge to address identified community needs. This enhances their academic learning, critical thinking, and personal growth while encouraging civic engagement and active citizenry.
In NP, S-L is course-based and credit-bearing. S-L was launched in NP in March 2016. By end of the Academic Year 2018, every student is expected to take at least one S-L module in his/her three years of study at NP. Through Service-Learning, we aim to nurture each student to become passionate learners, big-hearted persons and global-smart citizens, NP’s graduate outcomes.
